This policy explains how Ren Asian Grocery collects, uses and protects your personal information, consistent with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

• Account details: name, email, phone number (optional) and password (stored securely by our authentication provider; we never see it).
• Delivery details: delivery addresses and instructions, and, only if you choose "Use my current location", your device location at that moment to find your address.
• Order details: what you buy, delivery times, payment status and refunds. Card details are collected and processed by Stripe; we don't store them.
• Rewards and offers: points balance and history, coupons used, and any community club you shop with.
• Website usage: if you accept analytics cookies, anonymised usage data via Google Analytics.

How we use it

To process and deliver your orders, provide customer support, run Ren Rewards, prevent fraud and misuse, meet our legal obligations (including tax record-keeping), and, only if you opt in, send you promotional emails.

Marketing

We'll only send you promotions if you opt in. Every promotional email has an unsubscribe link, and you can change your choice anytime in My account → Settings. You'll still receive service emails about your orders.

Who we share it with

Only service providers who help us operate the store, under appropriate safeguards: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Google Maps Platform (address lookup and delivery distance), Vercel (hosting), Cloudflare (bot protection) and, with your consent, Google Analytics. Some providers may store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We don't sell your personal information.

Community club partners receive only aggregated, non-identifying reports (such as order counts and contribution totals) unless you agree otherwise.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, multi-factor authentication for staff and audit logs. No system is perfectly secure; if a data breach is likely to result in serious harm, we'll notify you and the OAIC as required by law.

Access, correction and deletion

You can view and update most of your details in your account. To request access, correction or deletion, email renasiangrocery@gmail.com. We may need to keep some records (such as tax invoices) for the periods required by law.
